Hello everybody!!
The first seeds to mature this year in my garden in Crete, come from wild colchicums. Are they of any interest?? I can only describe this wonderful plant - does anyone know anything specific about growing it from seed??

colchicum seeds for trade
Autumn Crocuses are suitable for growing in woodland gardens, meadows, and flower beds in zones 4 to 9. Most Autumn Crocuses available won't naturalize in frost-free climates. They need some winter cold to thrive year after year. In warmer areas, they must be grown in a shady location in rich woodland soil and never allowed to dry out. They will thrive in any well-drained garden soil in a partially shaded or sunny location. Give them plenty of water during active growth. (There are about 60 to 70 different kinds of Autumn Crocuses.)
Seeds may be sown in sandy loam and leaf mold. Cover the seeds with a half an inch of soil.
Hope this helps.
