I got my Coleus Box !!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

I have already thanked Brugie privately but wanted to share what she sent. Would you beleive 20, yes 20 different coleus. I have never seen most of them and only have 3 of them. I won't name them all - just too many, and I have never seen such great packing. She's such a great gal, after she read my whiny post, she said she wished she had seen it sooner, she would have doubled my box!! Besides the coleus, she sent a Plectranthus, must look it up, but the leaves are fuzzy like Gloxinia. And the little "Bluebird" Althea that I had requested from her, not knowing she was my secret trader! I'm so pleased - I hope I can please my trader too! Thanks again Brugie - your a super person! Thanks again.

More about how they were packed. Each little cutting (about 3" with 4 leaves) was evidently placed in an oasis cube to root. There are little roots coming throuth the bottom. These were then wrapped in Saran and taped with masking tape. She then took a pencil and put a # on each plant, and included a list of names matching the #. Then she wrapped each plant in newspaper and taped that. All were sort of flat packs and then placed in a priority box with panuts! A lot of work & love went into this.

Azalea, you are too kind. I really enjoyed doing this coleus swap and am so glad that you have some new ones to enjoy. Trying the cubes to root the coleus in was new for me and I was concerned about them drying out in shipping, but am so happy to hear it all got there alive. Let me know if there is anything else I have that you might want. Can send other stuff anytime, and brugs later. Just have to see this last flush of bloom on them and then whack them up.

I too got my coleus secret trade. It was from Golddog, they were in pots and were in excellent shape. He also sent 2 of his heucheras that he grew from tissue culture. Thanks Golddog, they were really nice.

Just received a large assortment of Coleus from Barbara. Barbara you are so generous! What a variety! I will use these for next year's garden tour. I like to have lots of pots and these will fit the bill. Thanks!!!
