Very pretty, where did you get your start? It looks like a vine, is it? The first glance the flower reminds me of scaeveola, the purple fan flower.

Yes Lenjo, this is a vine. I got a rooted cutting in a tade this past spring. I'll have to winter it inside since it's not hardy here.

Anyone know the best way to root cuttings from this?

Poppysue, I have stuck some Solanum crispum and the cuttings look pretty good, I did those about two weeks ago, I think if you have plenty of new growth, I would take some cuttings from new growth. I have also started another solanum in the past that was more of an upright bush. I snitched a cutting while in California from a bush hanging over a sidewalk in my sister's neighborhood.

I picked some of these seeds off a vine a fence at Kew gardens in Flordia, and grew the vine this past summer. It did really well, and I was quite pleased. The red berries are so pretty. I have some for trade if anyone is interested. I only trade for postage stamps since I so many different kinds of seeds. :) Arum arumseed@yahoo.com
