here is a photo of comparison between ripe and green canna seed. notice the ripe one turns black in color, the pod open by itself. inside the pod is like a small black marble which is the seed of the canna. hope this help u distinguished between unripe and ripe canna seed.

my bad then. i thought u didn't know basing from what i read u metioned before in another thread. maybe others will benefit and know the difference between the green and ripe canna seeds. i merely try to help.

Very good MaVie!! Good to have this pointed out. If you cut when they are green, all you're goona get is shriveled up seeds that are useless.
