VANILLA!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I was so thrilled with my blooming arborea I forgot to stop and smell it. I took sang pollen to it and revelled in that.
I just realized that I can't tell the difference in bloom smells unless they are like food. Camellia ^0^? Citrus I get, lemon I get.
Arborea smells like my very favorite - vanilla. I love vanilla ~~

Liz,
Since my Arborea died what else can I use the Sang pollen I have on?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Vulcanicola, sanguinea and arborea. Don't worry about the pollen - there is more out there, or here.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

what type do you get if you mix the sang with the vulcanicola Liz?

and Liz, do not be so casual with my pollen!! Glory, do not listen to her, that pollen is very special! Do you have a vulcanicola? I can send you a cutting.

Hamilton, Canada

Vanilla, my gosh that must be very special indeed. My favourite bath fragrances are vanilla and lavender.

Liz, is that the arborea from seed?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Yes, the aurea x aurea Rothkirch. Do you have one, BC?

Yes, I have one but it hasn't bloomed yet. There is a bloom on an aurea from the same batch of seeds that's looking a lot like my arborea. I'll know as soon as the flower opens.
