My bromeliad is blushing

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

I have several different bromeliads, don't know the names of any of them, but one of them had been green with white stripes. For 3 years it has been that color, this summer, a couple months after I took it out for its summer vacation, blushed red all along its leaves! No sign of flowering, no offsets produced, nothing like that. Any clues?

Windsurffer took this photo for me (ain't she a great photographer?)

Pretty - sure it's not sunburn, Lol!!

I'd say the sun brought out the coloring in the leaves.

I have one just like it that Weeds from Fl. sent me over a year ago. I can still remember opening the box that contained several plants and that pretty thing was the first thing that I saw. I was so thrilled. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

My bromeliad is in full light shade -- it gets no direct sun at all. I do love the red flush, though. Maybe it is just shy like me!

I have a varigated also but it doesn`t show any other colors but green and white. I hope it does this too even though I still like it the way it is.

The exposure to the sun made it blush, that does not mean
is going to bloom
