New from New Jersey

Hi everyone!
I wanted to say hello and thank you in advance for all the help I am going to need in my garden!
My husand and I purchased a new home on 7 acres in northwestern NJ this past January and we have been trying to sort out everything that has been growing around us.
We have not been doing to badly, thank goodness we have friends who know more about gardening that we do!
We have a koi pond which has become one of my husband's new favorite hobbies. He wants to build another one and as a result I have to move some plants that I do not want to lose!
I came across this wonderful site while searching for information on transplanting a gorgeous bleeding heart that we have... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome from Ohio. We have ponds in our yard too. They're great places to fall in to get cool quick on a hot afternoon. I've done it three times already, and the water tastes awful!
