Trimming roots?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

My bigger Brugs that have seed pods on them will be dug up this week and put in the greenhouse for awhile till the pods ripen. (yes I talked DH into using the GH till the pods ripen in a month or so).How much of the roots can be safely cut off when they are dug up without interfering with the growth of the pods.I'd hate to cut too much of the roots off and then have the pods fall off.

If the pods are larger, you dont need to worry. I have to trim the roots every year.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh snow, I'm so glad you're going to get your seeds, I know you worked hard for them. Hopefully it won't be too cold and that bill will hardly be noticeable.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

We will be hoping for warm weather for you till the pods are ripe.

Hamilton, Canada

I hope it stays warm for you, would be nice to see those pods ripen befoe you have to bring the brgus in.
