that gazing ball has TEENIE WEENIE feet on it. its always trying to figure out where it should be. Which garden! Its so funny to watch the little neighbor boys when they see them selves in it. Like candid camera.
Yes, I think I mentioned my mother's gazing ball in another thread some months ago. She absolutely loved it! Maybe some day I'll try one, but with all the trees and all the winds, I'm afraid a limb might break it! Are they still glass?
yep! glass! I lost a really nice one I got off eBay. It looked just like a bubble. Well, now. I seal them with tub and tile culk.
That's a good idea. It seems I've heard of attaching a lead weight to the bottom of the ball and letting it hang down the hollow center of the stand. One of these days I'll get one. First I want to get a birdbath. We have so many little birds that come to our feeder, and I'd like to have a place for them to get a good drink, as well.
My bird bath is a mess. no one drinks from it. It keeps getting this black stuff in it. Its always slanted. never straight. but. its cute! Its a love hate relationship
I don't really know why I want one. Lord knows there's plenty of water around here for a bird to drink, considering all the rain we get. I just like the look of them. I've been trying to talk my son into making me one of of metal.. just the stand... something I can put a bowl in, then take it out to clean the slim out once in awhile... all that bird spit, you know!
