Good ole Frosty Pink

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

This was my very first Brug given to me by Arlene. It is my DH's favorite in the whole Brug patch.LOL

Remember to start a piece for Kell.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

this is actually one I don't have!! LOL! got rid of it last year. And before the offers come flooding in, thanks, but I have plenty! LOL!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Oh TiG, we need to send you some. Think what you're missing.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

not a thing! Butterfly is blooming tonight (remember I thought a cat got it?? well, it didn't, but I tore the calyx, so it won't make a good picture) I have buds on about 5 or 6 of Erics crosses, buds on a lot left that I didn't burn up with Ultra Fine, and I'm hoping for a blooming fall! Wish there was more blooming this week though, my son is coming down finally!!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Very nice, how does it smell? Is it strong? I love the way brugs smell, in the evening just before the sun finally fades away.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

tig, you need to rethink frosty.... one of the first bloomers of the season!!!! then again, you'll probably have one show up that is marked something else. pretty pic, snow, i like frosty myself.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

TiG, you need Frosty, Insignis and Isabella just to have blooms(plus on long winter days when you don't have anything to do, you can try to differentiate between them and catalog the differences for us). I keep the white seedlings in the garden too because they bloom so much. I can fix you right up with a choice selection if you'd like.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I've got all three of those pinks. It would sure keep tiG busy studying the differences all winter long. LOL

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Honestly with Eric's seedlings and cuttings from what I have now, I have NO room! and Cala, you know how big my yard is. Eric sent more seeds last week, and they have first dibs on space. Okay, unless I get something really special, but...
Cala, I have a bud on JO x EP!!! teeny, but it's there!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

We could also send a collection to Kell with the same instructions to catalogue. She's had too much time on her hands lately too. She likes to lay on the ground under the brugs, so I think she's a good candidate for our research.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Don't laugh Cala but that's what I did last winter. Studied those three Brugs to see what the difference was. Not much else to do up here when the snow is knee deep to a giraffe.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I see you need a Jungle House Snow, one attached to your house so you can go out there without getting cold.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

That's my dream Cala. Maybe someday. It would sure be nice too not to have to lug 15-20 gallons of water out there everyday in the winter. LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Have to say that Frosty is a reliable brug, even if she does look like the others. Tonight she even looked identical to Eric's Isabella X Butterfly. Have to say that I'll keep his over the others though, just because of the way it blooms all the time. FP has bloomed most of the time too, but did have a couple of lulls.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

When they were in the GH there was a definite difference in the flowers and it was easy to tell them apart. Since they have been outside the IP and Isabella look alike but I can still see the difference in FP. It is a larger flower and the inside is white compared to light pink in the IP and Isabella,

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Know what? I think I must have two insignis pinks and Isabella, because mine all look the same. Are they all related? This is a serious question. Wondering what the backgrounds are.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Brugie, I asked quite a while ago about the background of Isabella and I don't think anyone knew.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

The one that I have posted called Isabella seems to have a slightly more coral color than this one, but it's throat is really white and has no smell. I got it from Tig, she said it was one of Erics.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

PJ, I had Isabella, and then I had Isabella x ? which were Eric's seeds. do you know which it is?

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Nope - you said it was from Eric, but no lable or pot!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

then it should be Isabella. Did you compare it to Insignis Pink though? got them in the same shipment.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

and the color difference could be your soil.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Compare!!! Lol! I keep telling everyone - this is the only one that I have had with blooms!! I have finally today seen some tiny specks of buds coming on some others -the waiting sure is tough. All that feeding and babying for so long, here it is almost september, I will hopefully see some other colors before frost!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I meant compare a picture. I know what you mean, i have all these wonderful teeny buds that I'm praying to see come to full bloom! when is our frost date, do you know?

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Too Soon - whenever it is!! I'll look for a pic on here.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Yep, I think mine is slightly darker, other than that I can't see any difference.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Ya'll need to move to FL!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I for one Snow think your Frosty is simply fabulous!!!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

bumping

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Trying to compare the three pinks.
