Mandevilla seed pods

I hadn't seen any seed pods before! If you look closely, there are 2 pods (about 6" long) standing upright and starting on the stem behind the bud. At least, I assume they are seed pods.

Yes,
that is a seed pod....just leave it on the plant until it opens...it does take a while to open.

Darius, I don't see it. Go to the forum, I'm putting a pic of mine in....see if it looks like that. Glory, please go check it too, okay??? I have what I think are seed pods too!!! I hope so, they're on my lavender colored mandevilla and I want more of them!!!!

meiyu... Look closely at my photo... Follow the bud on the right down it's stem, and just below and on the stem, look for a tall, skinny "V" shape that's almost as tall as the photo. The left pod is almost straight up, and the right pod points to about 1 o'clock.

I looked at your photo. They don't look the same, but yours may be seed pods... I'm just not vary familiar with tropicals yet, LOL!

Darius, yours are pods. Do like Glory said, leave them till they start to crack open. Badseed knows how to grow them from seed, she did this spring. I've never tried to germinate them.

Oh, I see them...you're right, darn it...nothing like mine.
