Chinese Lantern Vine?

dobie, ON(Zone 3a)

Does anybody know if this is the right name for this vine?
Please help me out. When the seeds ripen they are something like a dandelion but much much larger.
I have done a google search and can't find it. Thanks bunches trailingon

Thanks Poppysue,
You hit it right again. When I bought it at the nursery the tag said Chinese lantern vine and i have been unable to get any information on it. Do you know anything about germinating the seeds from it? I want to start some for out arbors at the community center gardens.
Thanks bunches
I know it is hardy to at lease zone 3a

This is the EASIEST clematis to grow from seed. I did some in a damp paper towel at room temp. They germinated in a couple weeks and even bloomed the first year.

It's a fast grower and I've read some people consider it invasive. I think it will re-seed in many zones as well. I pulled mine out last fall. I decided it was going too be too big and hard to control where I had it planted. I think it looks great on Starz's gazebo tho.

doesn;t starrz have this on her gazebo?
