v. Peach x Butterfly bloom

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

This is a seedling that I started on 12/26 and it's finally flowered. Even though it's white I still like the shape of it.

It does have a classic beauty to it doesn't it.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

love that shape. would make a great contest photo!!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

looking for a place to store a 12 foot brug for the winter? it looks similar to my VP X BF, doesn't it? i like mine a lot. it goes off yellowish....

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

okay, everyone is getting this black background down to a science. WHO HOLDS THE BLACK???? how do you get it to stand up behind the plant and apparently height is a consideration. I want all the scoop.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

tiG, I got up on the first rung of the stepladder holding my black sweater up on a coathanger. Almost had a bad accident as the ladder tipped when I was getting ready to take the picture and I fell into the plant. Luckily it's one of the ones with a very thick stalk because I was hanging on for dear life till I got my balance again. BTW, it's a very strong plant. LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Arlene, I was going to ask you if it was like yours but you beat me to it. Yes, I think this is one I will keep. I like it too.Might be one to cross back to Butterfly or Pink Beauty next year.

(Zone 6a)

snow, I can just visualize you hanging onto that brug:) too bad we don't have a picture of that:) LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

It wasn't a pretty sight Owen. I was just worried about saving my camera. :)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

you held the sweater and the camera??????

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Yes tiG. The sweater in one hand and the camera in the other. That's how I lost my balance. Next time I'll wait for help. LOL

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

As you know, I much prefer the smaller flowers. Nice indeed. Do you have a picture showing the full length of the calyx?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Eric, I have several hybrids with small flowers, even doubles. If I like them? Others do.

FSH, TX

Monika,
I prefer smaller flowers. I think that whether you or I or any one person has a preference is what helps guide what we breed with. Each hybridizer has their own preference, but of course...what I like may not be someone else's cup of tea. One thing I can say for sure, your hybrids....each and everyone that I have seen are hybrids I have liked. Large, small, white, or double. To be honest, I would love to simply roam in your mulch pile.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

As soon as I get the pictures back from the lab I will post them. I admit, these little flowers are very neat, especially the doubles but not all hybrids are in equal in flower size and growth.

FSH, TX

Fragrance, frequency and earliness of blooms are the major traits I like, but I have to admit shape is a big contender in their as well.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Monika, you donot have a digital camera? It is so easy. I can take a picture and post it on Dave's within 2 minutes! 1 if I run!
