Herbs: drying stevia

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

i just cut my stevia back and now i would like to know what is the best way to dry it? should i hang it up in a paper bag or can i put it in my dehydrator? also what should i do for making more plants? i tried to in the spring time and all the cuttings died instead of rooting.

when i root stevia i just stick the cuttings in dirt about 2 inches and and keep the pots very wet for a few days. i usually use a shallow pot and put the stem alll the way in the bottom and put it in a tray with watter in the bottom for about a week then keep the soil wet till i see roots around the edge of the pot then after that water normaly

to dry strip the leaves and put them on the dehydrator till dry

thanks troy will try that. i did put some in the dehydrator earlier and it seems to have kept the sweetness. i am going to do it all that way.

stevia is the only non-sugar sweetner that is heat stable that i know of

it is all dried and i powdered it in the food processor. i even brewed up a qt. using 1tbs to 1qt of water.i got that from an old post back in jan. 2001. the taste is real good. i have a pt jar full of the powder so i know i will be experamenting with it.
