this is a brug I tried and tried to send to Brugie!!

She wanted a CG to bloom for her this year so I tried and tried to stuff this in box about 3 weeks ago..........no luck!! And now it is blooming............JUST FOR HER.........but long distance!!! She is such a good friend I sure wanted to give her something special! Now I think of her everytime I walk by it on my way into my home!

PS I just took this pic, it is 9:45PM. I could only see black in the view finder........not bad for a blind pic!!!

Long calyx shows its versicolor parentage. I like the calyx's a bit shorter myself, but this one is a definite winner.

Kell, love this pic. i like your lamp too. wanna here my story/ well i really thought the CG JJ sent me last year was a dr suess. i looked at leaves until i was more insane. the pic i posted was of its first blooms, and after seeing the one you sent me with a bloom on it, i figured it really was CG. this is the luck with brug trading, you trade for something and find out six months later you have many of them, named wrong!!! i owe you something special, someday i will just pack up some stuff to send to you.
and you cannot even begin to imagine how proud i am that i rooted your orange sanguinea, 2 cuttings, putting out new leaves!!! we are gonna have a trade at my house, candle walks through the brugs, maybe it'll be a full moon. should i trade your CG cuttings for something special to send to you from florida?

Brugman, you must come to the trade and be our guest of honor. you would love CG, i am going to give you one, the flowers are hairy!!! at least i think the JJs is CG, and certainly kell who has mail sent me the real CG, with blooms on it! what awesome people on this forum!!

kell, i had the same problem with one i was sending to Pebble, had it ready to go with blooms and buds and it would not go into any box!

OH Arlene.....I am so glad you are OK!!!! You do what you think is best with dear CG!! I am about to post pictures of the mom plant.

If the Brugman and Snow need a CG.....I will be happy to oblige unless they are coming in person to your house............. you are so hospitable..........hey you even had tiGable there!!!

Ms kell, i am surprised we don't call her tigger. he's my favorite from my kids younger days. i will be seeing brugman and will certainly hand him one and see if he'll take it!!

tig and azalea are wonderful, i wish they lived closer. so is dee, and brugman, and the others i have met in person from DG.

u guys should try the floral type box, usps provide for priority plant shipping. it is nice and long. i stuff it with newspaper so the plant does not move around. there are 2 sizes: 36" long and 45" long. it is triangular in shape.

OH NO!! you have it wrong.......your whole list tempts me..................!!! Brugie has been pushing me also to pick from her list...........you guys are so impatient!!! Brugnanny and Cala offered a limited list and it made it easier for my small brain to comprehend........LOL!!!

MaVie, I got mine yesterday. Wally sniffed the plants and wanted to steal the taro!! They are potted up and doing great, thank you so much.

Kyle is a cool guy. Wish you could all meet him. I'd like to put him on my shelf so he would be available for reference material. Man, I'll never even come close to knowing what he does about all plants. To top that, I consider him a good friend. Kell, my brug is looking really good. Now I see why you couldn't get it into a box. That thing is just a bit big for mailing Priority. I'll just enjoy the picture and know that you were trying hard to make my day.
