in case anyone missed it, arlene is having surgery this morning. I don't think she's going to be admitted, but it will still be a lot when she gets home. Please be thinking of her.

Hey Arlene. Been thinking of you all morning. Hope by the time you read this the pain has subsided and you will be well on your way to recovery. Just be careful not to get any brug juice in that incision. Hope you will let us all know how it is going.
Hi, guys, am home. took 3 hours. the first cut came away with clean margins. i think they used about 2 quarts of lidocaine in the nose. the nurse said he did a great job of closing it up, the biopsy had left a hole, and that i should heal pretty well. he was a cute young guy, everyone there was very nice, and i couldn't believe how calm i was through the whole thing, must have been feeling your prayers and good wishes. the doc told me i'm their friend now, they'll be seeing me every 6 months. it's swollen, the lidocaine is wearing off but hopefully this pain pill will take the edge off.
