Barb, my AP came from LBJ through a Canadian friend and grows really well. It doesn't get really tall but has a lovely shape. Has flowered once and is covered in buds. I even took base shoots earlier this year, started them, put them outside in the garden and they've Y'd again. Maybe you need a better cutting.
I would personally like to see more brugs hybridized for a shorter stature and earlier bloom characteristics. Definite plus Brugcrazy. Thanks for the info.
