Older color on Amarillo Paja bloom

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This blooms white and turns to a peachy color. Blooms are large, smell nice, but a very slow grower.

I like the light peach color of this one. Too bad it's not a faster grower.

Well Snow, at least it bloomed and for a while I didn't think it would get big enough to bloom. I have to say that I'm not really impressed with this one, but I don't have the heart to compost it. Maybe next year it will do better.

Shirley,
I'm like you with this one....I could take it or leave it. I think I'm going to give it a while longer to perform...maybe next round will be better.

Shirley... nice pale color... very feminine and dainty :).

I like the form, but I don't keep anything that grows slow. I might be tempted to put some pollen on it though as I have a hard time not setting a pod to any hybrid I have blooming.

Have a photo of Kirchner's Amarillo Paja-it is a much darker peach. have to put in it as a new thread, since I don't know how to insert photo here.

Barb, mine never did get as dark as the photo you posted. Maybe again, we don't have the right conditions here for getting the brighter color.
