Color in my yard

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Not much blooming now, but sure seem to have a lot of pink and blue. Have to enjoy it quickly as fall will be here soon. The hibiscus is Pink Wings and the blue is BlueBird Rose of Sharon.

Wow you have a beautiful yard. Both plants are gorgeous.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Miss Brugie . . what a gorgeous view. Both plants are lovely and the colors are pretty together.

(Zone 8a)

Gorgeous!!! I have to put the ROS on my want list! Does it seed? If so could I trade you for some?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

WOW! Pretty!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

The colors look great together!

Shirley,
That Rose of Sharon is a beauty...Would you root me one?...sometimes they don't come true from seeds.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Shirley.......:-) save me some blue seeds please! LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'll try to save a bunch of seeds. As far as I know, the seedlings that I've given away have all been blue except one and my aunt is 80, so she may not even be looking at the right thing. Always have lots of seedlings in the spring. I've never tried to root one Glory, so tell me what to do.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I love pink and blue together, and, Brugie, yours looks just great.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It's beautiful. I love that blue ROS.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks.....I love blue blooms on anything.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ms Brugie, i'd like to have one of those too, it is gorgeous! must hibiscus will start roots in water, then transfer to soil. haven't rooted ROS.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Arlene, I'll give that a try. Otherwise, it will have to be seeds. I'll add your name to the seed list, but will try some cuttings as soon as I can.

Franktown, CO(Zone 5a)

I love that blue too. I'd love to trade for seed this fall also.

Cullman, AL(Zone 7a)

Absolutely beautiful!! I gotta find that ROS

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

If the seeds dry like they usually do, there would be enough for a whole town. I'll do my best to have enough for those who want to try them.

Cullman, AL(Zone 7a)

I would love some if you have plenty...and would be happy to send back anything I might have that you'd like. That ROS is sooooooo pretty...I think I am beginning to obsess about Hibiscus...dangerous thing for me with all this bare space about...LOL!!

Shirley,
I root mine in the sand...might want to dip in rootone. I think I might try Arlenes method and see if I have any luck.

Alfred, ON(Zone 4b)

Brugie,
I always thought that ROS was a totaly different plant *LOL*

Now I know how they look thanks.

love the color

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

Brugie..isn't the Blue Bird cultivar with a purply-burgundy throat??? Elaine

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh Elaine, I'm going to have to run out and look. I'm back from my quick trip and you are right. It does have that purple color in the throat/eye, one of those body parts. :-)
