Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

It is a gorgeous day here. It is pouring pouring rain. Or it has been for a few hours , but now it has stopped a little. Couldn't get on the computer because of the lightning, so I went back to bed for awhile.
Yesterday Hubby and I mended some fence. Our escape artist heifer and her calf and a yearling heifer were found in the corn field. they hadn't done much damage, but if the whole herd had gotten out for very long they sure could of. When we left the wind was blowing and it was really nice, by the time we were finished the wind had stopped and it seemed hot and humid again.
Then I went over to my daughter's house to work on the new iris bed. Her irises barely bloomed this year, so they will be moved to more sunshine. The ground was hard as a rock so we took old grubbing hoes and scraped the grass off the top. New dirt "aka llama compost" is coming from the barn. Then they turned on sprinklers to loosen up the soil under the grass. If we had just waited until today we would have had an easier time.
My Doctor took off all my lifting restricitons Friday. I will still be careful, but am really happy to be back to almost normal.
Have a good one.
