Owen,
I finally gave up on checking for Ys on plants. I just did daily checks for watering needs and bug squashing. Now my Frosty Pink had a Y and I never even really noticed it until today. When you least expect it...

P.S. granddaughter just picked her first 2 maters today...they were sooooooo sweet!! Email me...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Mine has just started blooming and I tried my hand at pollinating. Quite a job finding the stigma in that one.

Very, very nice - and look at that impeccable bed!

Oh no! The pollen has not even made it's journey and here we are with regret. LOL Cala. :) Want me to mail it back to you when it gets here??
Beautiful Double Glory! I have not seen too many of those.

Great looking flowers. I hope you are busy being a bee with that one.LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Beautiful plant Glory. They are great bloomers aren't they.

Roz is collecting EPink pollen for me...mine is dry. How about if I try some Aurea Pink on the Candida D.White?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

A beautiful double, Glory!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Glory, Monika said before to use aurea on a double white to get a colored double.

Arlene,
I'll try some of both some of the latest Aurea Hybrid and EPink.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Glory, Sounds like you may be on the track to get the double pink! Sure hope so, good luck.

Tonight, I pollinated Charleston with Favorite's Delight and with the new EP x Rothkirch. I also have a pod on Rothkirch, pollinated with Charleston, a cross, I made before.

Monika,
You are so good at pollinating....mine is just hit and miss.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

To all you hybridizers--once you have pollinated the flower how do you protect it from bees and moths, etc.

Barb,
WELL, I don't...I guess you could take a small piece of foil and put it over the Stigma.
I was just wondering it is possible for more then one pollinator to pollinate a flower? Did I ask that correctly?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I believe that Eric has said yes to that question before.

So I guess I should cover my stigmas.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Gloria-it doesn't look great but I have been tying twist ties around skirt. Just wondered if there was a better way.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Pollen transfer is fast to the ovary..so shouldn't be a problem with additional pollen tranfer after crossing..does that make sense. I have never had additional pollen transferred even with leaving the flowers open.I pollinate after dark the first evening after the bees and moths are gone.Moths don't pollinate any of my flowers. I have next to no pods develop that I didn't do.Some varieties seem like they set pods with no help..CG and Suaveolens types of certain colors.

Thanks--it will save me a step. One less thing to do in a day!!

Kyle,
Sound good to me too!!!!
