KathyJo, Shad and I were parking cars for the BSA yesterday afternoon on the KMart parking lot. We were down by the cinama at the west end of the lot. We saw the Budweiser trailers go in late in the afternoon. 2 of horses, 1 for equipment. I don't know who the entertainer for the grandstand was last night but they must have been popular. We pretty well filled our areas and they all said they were headed for the show. Tomorrow will be our last day to help with that and the fair ends Sunday. We haven't gone and Jack and I don't intend to either. Shad would like to go sometime, but his mom will have to take him. Just too expensive and tiring for us. We've been many times in the past and feel that if one goes once every 10 years or so you won't have missed a thing.
It's a cloudy morning and cool. Hope it stays like this and even rains today.
Karla, I'm so glad you and your family are now in your new home. Moving is such a task. I don't even like to think of it. But you can more or less take your time settling in now and arrange and rearrange as you wish. Hopefully you'll be there a long time(or are you the one who hopes to move to a farm in just a couple years?).I haven't had to really move in nearly 32 years and hope to never do it again. We did move into an apartment for about 6 months in 'the winter of '90 when Jack broke his back for the 4th time. When the lease was up we were already back home on the farm.
I need to go and turn the birds lose, get lunch started and myself ready to take Shad in to park and myself to work. I'll drive in to get him when I get off tonight. I wish I thought he has any appreciation for what we are doing for him. I'm just really, really tired I guess. This week will soon be history and I can get back to some semblense of normal-whatever that may be.
GOD bless and keep each and all of you.
