Last of Amber Rose shipped

There will be no more Amber Rose cuttings from me. I sent off all Amber Rose cuttings I have on my daughters 1st birthday.

Happy Birthday Amber!!!!!!!!! wow, can't believe that's a whole year. We know you and your wife have had it rough and so has she, she is still in my prayers daily.
You did keep AR in your garden, right???

I left only the roots of Amber Rose in my garden. Amber is 14 lbs and 1 year old by the way. She's my miracle baby and nothing could make me happier than her. Will have to wait until she grows up again. I did sent out cuttings from flowering branches and woody cuttings as well, so the lucky recipient should have something to work with in a bit.

Here's wishing Amber a very happy birthday, and best wishes for many, many more.

Liz, thanks for the birthday wish. I am thinking of giving out 2-3 other hybrids here shortly though. Not Amber Rose mind you, but very special hybrids none the less.

That was not much you left for you of Amber Rose. Bet you got so tired hearing from all, that you should post pictures of AR flowers and now want to let tiG or Arlene or Cala do it. *grin* I took a few shoots with my camera today of the versi. seedlings, because I wanted to post them here tonight. They are in a Brug bed 15 meters long and 3-4 meters broad. They had a pretty rough time, when the catapillar hell broke loose, but made it through it and started to grow well again. There are maybe 60-70 of the best ones left on the bed and I keep looking out for the best. Did Ida survive the hard part of Florida summer? Here she is Y`ing. She came a long way back from the roots and finally it look like there will be flowers. That was also on time. *lol* The Brugs will flower until October 1. or maybe 15. and then they have to get in for the winter.

Ida is a real fighter here in Northern Florida. She is still living, but only bloomed once for me so far. Of course, I must confess I have not babied her. Only the strong survive. She definitly is one of the strong ones. I can't believe an arborea actually made it through the entire summer here in Florida without dieing back. I had a dream the other day that you had a varigated Culebra Tonny. Your not holding anything back on us are you Tonny?

To be honest the varigated culebra was nice, but his other aurea type hybrids with a touch of suaveolens x versicolor were to die for...nice dark pinks bordering on red. Funny dream actually, but he had his cat and took me to a lot of fishing places which I thought was kind of odd for a brug dream. Now, how crazzy is that? Anyone else dream about Brugs? Wonder what Freud would say about a dream with Brugs, cats, and fish? In this dream, my dream brug was actually a brug that looked kind of like the one cala posted earlier....edges folded way back, but the color was much darker and the flower itself was much shorter and wider. The flower was wide and split the calyx open, but was a clearly aurea type calyx. Very beautiful dream. Still, Tonny wouldn't part with any of his creations. Can you imagine that?

Cala, as beautiful as his hybrids were in my dream...I think I'd be greedy and ask Tonny to send me his second bunch of crosses...for Amber of course....Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone. Ambers birthday was 13 of August by the way. Same day I sent out her cuttings and of course I had to send out a few seeds as well.

Nobe! *lol* I don`t hold anything back and couldn`t dream of to do so. :-) Different sorts of pollen went out and so did the head of Quinde. *lol* A thing I look very much forward to is when the pods gets ripe, so I can get them out of the house too. *lol* There are pods everywhere and I gave up counting. Cuttings are in rooting (I finally learned to do this :-)

As for your dream its very interesting. I can imagine, what Freud or Jung would have said or a dream symbol book, but neither has the answer I am affraid. Lol* The answers is always within ourselves! I had this peculiar awake dream, where I walked in the woods and came to a clearing full of white Calalillies with human heads instead of anthers and stigmas. *grin* I wondered and could hear them speak a kind of baby language, which I dìdn`t understand. Walking through these lillies I came to a low, wooden fence and looked over a valley. That was end of the dream. *lol* Ever since I thought much about its meaning and read lots of different times mythology to look for similar mythical patterns (myths are a kind of map over the function of all from the personal to the universal unconsious), but still I have only my self to ask. *grin* That is the hard part of it. *lol* However, I would love to have a variegated culebra or one with red flowers. I can`t believe I took you out fishing, when we could share and enjoy all the nice Brugs. I know we would have loved any minute of it.

Eric, I didn`t see your last posting. I was to busy writing about our dreams. I will send you anything you ask or even if you don`t. :-)

i hope i get to go fishing with you guys, i think i have plenty of bait on my brugs. Brugman, please give Amber kisses from all of us, and DW and DSs too!

A couple of days late, but Happy Birthday to your baby girl. My kids are all grown up, but we still have babies coming along. Kids are special little people. Where would we be without them.......

Cala has to be there too. If we all meet there during carnival time, we can exchange Brug stem hats and cross the US border and say we have to attend a party. We can dress up like clowns and bushmen, so eveyryone will take it quite naturally, when we all are wearing hats of semi woody branches. *lol*

hey! I asked for a brug box before she asked for a hat, so I get to be there too!!! I can carry it as a purse.

LOL Tonny - we are a very conservative lot here in Canada - I think the border people might notice a bunch of people dressed as clowns sprouting tropical plant parts.

Liz, they will probably only see some very excentric people on their way to a dress out party with tiG in the front as our queen wearing Brugstems cut as a tiara.
