Almost there!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I cannot believe how quickly the flower lengthened once it peaked from the bud! You can almost watch the flower grow!

Badseed, it looks like a candida or versicolor. it'll turn white, and then maybe another color which could take a couple of days. it has a very nice shape, but then i am partial to this kind.
never heard of white sanguinea, and sanguineas don't cross with most other kinds of brugs.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Sure looks like it's gonna be the next day or two.

"eyes"

It is definitely not a sanguinea, wrong type of leaves and flowers. There is a red and white sanguinea called "White Flame" but I haven't found it yet.

You know, there are blonde days and days you feel like a blonde. I am guilty of both. Not sure which post I read right before I posted this or if it was wishful thinking. LOL I walked back out and read the tag again. I had the name wrong. Okay, I'll stick to the other 200 kinds of plants I grow and just enjoy the flowers on these. :)

so what is its name, Badseed?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Michele, I'm going to be cutting back brugs this fall, and if you want some with color, let me know. I'll box some up for you to play with. Will even put the correct names on them.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Brugie, you make me laugh! LOL Apparently I can read the tag, just can't type it correctly! :) It opened up BIG today. Tendrils curled up, nice big flower. White! Will be keeping my eye on it to see if it changes. It is a lovely flower and you know I will be out there snorting it tonight. I also have Jean Pasco, Whiskers, Versicolor Orange and Frosty Pink. What colors am I missing?? LOL I know I have no doubles. ;) Gonna work on that for next year. I still need to get in touch with my doc's GF and see what she has. May see if she will over winter these in her solarium too.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Badseed, might change colors on you in the next day or two. i guess it didn't have a tag?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

It does indeed have a tag. But, for now, it is a secret. :)

I am trying to learn here. I am thinking it would be cool to cross it with EP or Rosabelle or IP. Anybody got pollen from those? Am I asking for the impossible? I am sure someone will tell me. :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Wish I had some pollen, but it has been so hot here that the pollen was dried. I'll come up with something you don't have and mail it later this fall. I know you will like some of the new ones. Well, they are new to me anyway and not on your list right now.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Badseed, I do. I'll send it tomorrow morning.(EP pollen)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

and when do we get to see a pic of the open bloom? with the name tag showing, lol

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

I am so jealous of you. I still have not seen even a hint of buds. I have fertilized and fertilized and nothing. Just another dying plant. Some of my orchids are blooming though. LOL Nice to see you having this luck with the brugs. :) Lani

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks Doll! I guess it was just beginner's luck (and I started with a really nice healthy plant). LOL Summer is not over. There is still hope. I won't tell you about the nine that don't even have Y's. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Geez Ponditis..............do you have a CG?? I will be happy to send you a Y............ they are easy and good!!
no fun to be bloomless and look at these posts...............

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

Thanks Kell, You have mail. I would LOVE to have a CG. I just don't know if it will have time to bloom this year but I guess there is always next. My dying brug looked somewhat better today so I guess it is another case of too much fertilizer again. I guess I need to be more careful of that in the soil that I have here. I am going to try to borrow GH space this winter for mine too but I don't know how far I will get with that since he has the GH full and I don't think there is enough space under the bench for my brugs.
