does anyone know how long it should take for a graft to take?? I have taken a frost pink nod and placed it in a branch of a whiskers I belive that I need to cut the branch off above the graft to get it growing Its still green looks good but want to make sure its Ok before cutting it again.

Irish, I'm not sure, but when you graft to rootstock, you cut the top off the stock.
