Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

This is part of my species canna/hummingbird/butterfly garden studies.
As the sunflower seeds fell from the birdfeeder and came up naturalized it has created a gorgeous site to behold!!
Also has 'naturally' attracted even more butterflies and beneficials.

Looks like a picture postcard! What is the thing on right, back, on canna leaf, looks like a star, water gauge?

Gloria, that is a double hook with a glass sun that holds a birdfeeder and hummingbird feeder.
Not intended ..but the hummingbirds perch on those little wires coming off the sun to wait in line for their turn at the feeder.
They look so cure waiting there (o:

Bet that is something to see.

We were trying to take a pic of hummers today, dipping in my bright pink hibiscus, have three blooms, thay stayed quite awhile, but when we tried to put the screen up to take the pic, they left.... dang!

i like that. i garden for critters also. i have some red sage up to 6 feet tall growing in a brug patch, have been thinning it out some. and scarlet milkweed popping up everywhere, it is very pretty when it's stealing brug food. the cats are finally getting to my passion vines, but i have tons of zebra long wings and frittilaries and some kind of monarch- don't know if it is a queen or viceroy, and lots of different swallowtails and sulfers. not a bad trade.

That looks wonderful. I love the sunflowers mixed in like that.
