Yup - I dug this out of the garbage at the cemetary. The bottom had a split so somebody had thrown it out.
Trash find
nice!!! my son found one on the side of the road. it has a bit of rust on the bottom that made a hole, I thought it was perfect:) mine's green though, I like yours better!!
Nice find Poppy.
Good find, Poppysue, and the photo is superb!
My, my, my...........what a lucky gal you are!! Hey you better hurry and enter that one in the container contest, Sue!!
"eyes"
Isn't it satisfying to make use of the trash :) I have a cute little abutilon stuffed in this watering can too that's just starting to bloom. It's a double-ish apricot flower.
Oh I really really like this. It's just beautiful.
You know, I think some of our photos here on Dave's would make wonderful greeting cards, don't you?
gee whiz, something so pretty shouldn't be thrown away!you have a creative eye poppysue :)
Very nice Poppysue. Love the burgundy & bright green of the coleus. Definitely a container gardening contest entry.
I have GOT to remember to check the trash. LOL!!! I am so jealous, poppysue. That is a spectacular find!
My friend Poppysue, the dumpster diver!!!(I would have grabbed it too) I love the way you planted it. Might have to pull the ivy out of mine and replace.
that's "plum" purty...
Isn't it, though! Thanks for bumping it back up, Woodspirit. It's a breath of summer for those of us under snow and ice right now!
Those coleus are gorgeous!!!!
I just love coleus, and they are so easily propagated from stem cuttings! However, they don't like our cool wet summers here, so we can only grow them as houseplants. Poppysue has mixed just the right flowers together here to show off that watering can!
