beautiful plants in the right environment, the green plants around the maltese cross let the red flowers pop up and catch your eye, the plants look very nice with a green hedge in the background too.
every other flowering plant in the neighbourhood will lower the result of the maltese cross only low plants with small white flowers, like allyssum works positive, all my opinion ofcourse,
