Maya [Sunset] blooming today (o:

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Just coming to bloom again.
Pretty good for losing 1/3 of its crown in a wild late May storm.

Anyone successful crossing this brug?

Successful in rooting?

i really like that. my first blooms should be opening 1-2 days. i haven't had a place to root yet, but it's grown about 4 foot taller since sometime in march. haven't heard of any crosses but will sure try!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Beautiful! I love the standard form. Is this inside?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Is it white? I thought P&C was peach. Anyway, it's beautiful.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Cala, this is as it came out this morning. It comes out whitish, then to pale peach, then to darker peach.
It is changing to peach as I write.

Yes, Kell, I have grown this one as a standard form.
I will post a photo of the whole plant when the flowers are turned to peach.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

That is a beauty.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I thought P&c and Maya are different.....is this one of those thingys????

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Maya is not Peaches and Cream. I have both.
They are different.

CC,
Here is a picture I posted a while back on the difference.
Maya is the flower on the left and P&C on the right.

I just read callas post, thought she was saying they were the same......

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

So sorry, thought this was P and C. Just grow me some ears and call me Dumbo, lol. I'm tired I guess. It's a beauty nonetheless.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Very pretty picture Alice. I have this one and have had about 50-50 success on rooting cuttings. I think I'll get started on my cuttings now. So many to do and time seems to get away from me in the fall when there is so much to do besides rooting brugs.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Shirley. Soon as it stops bloom, I will try rooting again. I sure know what you mean about no time. lol

I took some chances and crossed with all I have blooming.
Hoping ...

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

It's beautiful and I am hoping it will bloom faster than the P&C. Even though my P&C has finally Y'd I still can't see any buds and probably won't this year. Too slow a bloomer for up north.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Snow, your P&C was bigger than mine!! I've got another bloom on Klerx variegata, P&C has finally Yed.(and yes, I'm paying more attention to titles of postings now, gee I felt so silly)
