cuttings

FSH, TX

I took 12 or so cuttings of Amber Rose the other day...a few of another as well. Now, the bad part...I cut them on thursday! Can you imagine that! I was going to ship them out that very day, but gambling on them arriving by Saturday is not my cup of tea. So, I am soaking them till Monday so I can rest assured that they will not have a problem making the long trip. Sorry for the mishap, but I honestly intended on sending them out on wednesday. Not the best idea there either, but better than thursday. Working nights has gotten me a bit confused.

I'm sure they'll be fine!! we sure miss you, are you going to be on nights forever?

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I was wondering why we havent seen you around much.

Anyone have a picture of Amber Rose blooms? Sure would like to see it.

Hibiscus, I have pictures, but I am not sharing.
Tig, I can assure you I won't be on nights forever. Just indefinately. Now, if I can only find a box big enough for these cuttings. Amber Rose has extremely velvety leave with a slight wavy nature to them until they get several inches long.

Hey Brugman, nice to see you back. We've missed your ramblings.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Brugman, don't know who you are shipping to but tig brought me a nice amber rose when they came a couple of weeks ago. one of your seedlings from last year is getting ready to open for the first time, a versi type. i'm gonna bump a post to see if you recognize a plant i got from you in december, labeled aurea white------- NOT.....

FSH, TX

Arlene, sorry if I sent you an aurea white ...that was really a versicolor. My deepest apologies.

Brugman.....DO NOT APOLOGIZE!!!! I love this plant, wait til you see it!!!!!!!!! bumping now.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Now you've really got my interest! Have pics, no share!

Glad to see you back, Eric.

I'm sure they will make it just fine Eric where ever they are going. They are pretty tough plants.

Snowhermit, yes I admit I worry a bit too much sometimes, but this one is my favorite cross and as such I worry a bit more about her. Leaves are very velvety when young..both sides are visibly so....Then as they mature...they seem to complety change their nature. Often times Amber Rose will have just one or two small teeth on her immature leaves as well. Still, its the color blending I like most about this one. My wife called this one "Pinwheel" when she first saw it in bloom.

I'm sure it is beautiful Eric as are all your crosses. I'm waiting now for your Kyle's Beauty to open it's bud and I can't wait to see it.
