Pretty Canna bed. I love cannas but didn't get many planted this year. Do you have white? May I inquire as to where you purchased it?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Amazing and look at all that land behind that bed........ I love it.

OMG........That Zodiac Collection is to die for......have to wait until I can budget $250.00 into the canna bulbs though, I'd sure be tempted if they offered 2 rhizomes each instead of one!!!

Wow...I love cannas!!! I wish I hadn't seen the zodiac collection! I bought four peachy colored cannas and they have turned into about 40 stalks since April or May!! I keep finding at least two new flower pods every single day! Can you just imagine if they were, say, a couple of sags and virgos? I used to think mine were so beautiful until I saw yours...oh, well, better save my pennies! At least I know that I can grow cannas successfully, so it might make it easier to let go of that kind of money if I can get enough to get one or two!!
Awesome collection!!

i have trouble storing them-mine either dry up or mold so im kinda going to give up-lost to many neat kinds over the winter!!! =[

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

Notmartha, try keeping just one or 2 rhizomes of each cultivar growing thru the winter. I have some that die if they dry so I have to do that. I do cut them off short in the fall, then repot and keep just barely damp until they begin to really put on good growth. I also lose some every year to fungus, mold, and drying. The potted ones do best. However you have to watch for and battle mealy bugs on them Just keep the bottle of alcohol in the area where you grow them along with some Qtips.
