Cannas .just a few!

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Part of one canna bed. All the cannas are blooming great now.
In my part of the world they bloom like crazy end July until a killing frost end September.
Always a glorious site to see ((o: Especially in mid September.

Be still my heart!!! I'm working on the pinks now myself. I have almost all the verigated and bronze, but I sure do love the tall pinks.

Alice, they are just spectacular. What a sight to look at every day. I'd be in heaven. Am hoping to expand my little group of cannas this next year. Want to have the back of one bed totally filled in with them. Yours is a very pretty sight.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

What a goregous rainbow of colorful cannas! Do you overwinter them in a greenhouse, root cellar, or basement? How many do you actually have?

Barb,
Do you have problems with the leaf rollers on your cannas in Hattiesburg.....here along the coast they really do a job on the leaves.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Glory, my friend Ruby did have problems till she started putting Sevin dust around the base of the plants.
Abutilon, those are beautyful.

This is just a portion of one garden. Cannas literally do grow all around me (o:

Shirley, some go in the greenhouse and others into the basement. Really don't know how many I have.
Too busy growing to count. LOL But true.
I just love this time until frost.

Alice...very nice collection...now start breeding a few...real fun to see what grows from seeds. You can have some fun just growing some of the naturally pollinated seeds too! Never know what you will get!
