logee's golden lady

Does anyone know if the leaves are supposed to be so huge???
The plant is just under 2 feet tall and as you can see has just Y'ed. The leaves are 18 inches long and 10 inces wide! The leaves are almost as long as the entire tree is!

Kell, Golden Lady doesnt grow fast and is an early bloomer. Golden Lady has such leaves.

Golden Lady is an aurea isn't it? Mine have very large leaves.

Well, Monika, does it have very great big flowers to go with those great big leaves? She asks hopefully!!!

My post looks like I have a Golden Lady - I don't. So pack one up Kell. What I meant was that my aureas have big leaves.

Sure Liz, you can have a piece. I do not know if it has a side growth piece yet. And I sure am not giving you my Y........LOL! It seems to grow fatter and fatter not taller! Just like me!! As you can see it is lush and beautiful. I am allowed to send to Canada? Nothing even takes a bite out of it!!

Well maybe you can Liz........... it would make it seem more like home when I come to live there.

Kell, I'll pick up a piece for Liz in October. We can bring cuttings legally across the border but can't have them mailed without a phyto. Go figure.

Hey Jeanne, I can send that cutting you want to Kell then and you can pick it up in October. Was wondering how we were going to do that.

Just firming up times but it looks like I'll be down there somewhere around 8-12 of October, not positive about dates yet. Got to check Rob's schedule and house sitters schedule. I'm going to visit Marjory Harris for a couple of days.

Golden Lady doesnt have too large leaves. The flowers are small but very pretty.

Thnaks gone to seed......... i wonde rif mine is golden lady then. Its lleaves are huge and it seems stuck at a certain height.

It would have to be fresh fresh fesh and the best cut of fish..................... like we had last night. To die for......it pays to go to the same place every friday........ you get treated very well. I had to switch from hot sake to cold though........... very dangerous!
