Hibiscus trionum?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It's about 6 feet tall. Hans, my gh inspector said in India they use this one for fiber. They cut the stems, soak in water and then beat them to release the fibers. He couldn't remember it's "second" name, lol.(good to know I'm not the only one, lol)
This is perennial here and will also bloom the first year from seed. It didn't reseed in the garden because I only had one last year and collected every last seed to sow.

Calla, I have this - but I called it an annual Hibiscus - in the okra family! Just took a pic this am.

Cala,
Is this not a Abelmoschus (silk flower)?

YES!! You are right Glory. I knew the leaves weren't right for the hibiscus. I have the regular red color too, but it's an annual. Thanks.
