Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It was blooming when I got home. I have a L'Amour right next to it and they look the same. Should they? i will post a photo of L.

well, one less i need if lamour is close to butterfly...........

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

They look identical to me. I've been trying to root enough for you and everyone, but they aren't as easy to root as Butterfly or maybe it's me trying too hard, lol.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

thanks, cala, but unless it is really different, i can pass on lamour. i like pink beauty better than butterfly anyway, and have 3-4 more i really think i want. it seems everyone i know that has them only has about a 6 inch one, else i am on the bottom of their lists.......

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Arlene, not on the bottom, just wish this thing would put out some more branches so I can experiment some more, lol. I would have more ready, but I did something that made them rot.

(Zone 6a)

I would be very interested in a Pink Beauty, Butterfly, and L'Amour if any kind people in here would be able to send them to me for postage:)

Cala, not what i meant, wasn't being mean. honestly, if lamour is that close to lamour it would be like a duplicate to me. until i have money to buy a tractor and hire help, am trying to limit what i get, now that i have a large variety and lots of seedlings. wasn't at the top of my list anyway.

OK Arlene, didn't want you to think I forgot you. I've not had a lot to work with on lots of my brugs since they've started Y'ing and blooming. I just hate to cut those stems that have buds on them!!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

know what you mean, i've done that just once. will be interested to see your pics tomorrow.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Calalily, what can I tempt you with to trade me a cutting of Lamore. I have really been lusting for that one. LOL How about elephant ears or gingers.

Tig, I will get your stuff off soon--having test and shots in back. Sure is slowing me down.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Beautiful bloom Cala. Glad you didn't miss all your blooms while you were gone.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Barbara, I'm easily tempted with either gingers or EEs, but it will be a while before I have any. This is a single trunk and it's loaded with buds.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

That so beautiful!

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Calalily, I just don't understand why you won't cut your buds off to seen me a cutting. LOL I am making up some boxes in the next week so send me your address and I will send you some plants. Just remember me when you get some starts. Just tell me which ee and gingers you have and I will go from there. My second and third passions--for me, my addiction for gingers is right up there with brugs-- I know it is blasphemy to make such statements on the brug formum.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Bward, I totally understand and I think most here will forgive you, lol. I meant to look while at the green house to see if I could find something to snip off, I will look after lunch. I'll get a list of the gingers and EE's together. I know there are several who want this one.(TiG, I didn't forget you)

Have you made any successful crosses from Butterfly to Lamour or vice versa yet Cala?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Successful from L'Amour to Butterfly, the pods on L'Amour all fell off. (I had pollinated L'Amour with Ecuador Pink and Pink Beauty too)

FSH, TX

Rosabelle has that same problem. Forunately, Butterfly is a good seed setter and pollen donor.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yep, hopefully I'll get a few special pods. Now to find room to plant them.

FSH, TX

As L'amour and Rosabelle seem to be poor seed setters....Have you considered trying to use L'amour pollen on Ecuador pink? I have confidence either way though that you can gets some pods.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

And Cala is still trying for all of us!!!
So Arlene, what were the 4 that were on your wish list?
