My aurea x aurea Rothkirch

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

From Monika's friend's seeds. This is what you have isn't it Tonny? All the stems, peduncles and buds are velvety. The leaves look like white velvet from the side. That little thing hanging forward is one of the buds. Is this what your Ida looks like?

My plant fits your description. *lol* I can`t see the calyx clearly, but isn`t it pentagonal like B. sanguineas? I have posted Idas calyx for you and hope you can better see it and compare to your aurea x RK. *lol* Its a bit thrilling to think of, what Brug it is. Maybe it is aurea x RK. That would be great, but when Monika told, how RK`s leaves was and after my similar leaf hunt for several days in the garden, it could also be something else and it make me wonder, what it is.

I am curious, what finally will come out.

Yes Tony, a five sided bud.
Sorry so slow answering - was giving the brugs a haircut so I can see the blooms better.

I could need a haircut. :-)

So its five sided - is it pubescent?

I am curious too, what comes out. :-)

Yes, pubescent. Everything about this plant is velvety.
OK - I give up - what do you think is in it??
