My first Pink Beauty Blooms.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This brug doesn't appear to be a heavy bloomer. Only five buds on mine. However, what a bloom!! Huge and nice color. It is rather cloudy here today and maybe this will darken when the sun comes out, but I love it the way it is. Thanks Barb.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh my, that is so lovely and I am so glad to hear from Arlene that it just keeps on blooming.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful, very nice plant. Can't wait till mine blooms.

Lovely shade of Pink.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Arlene, did you yours from the same mother bush as Brugie?
Beautiful Brugie.........makes it all worth it!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Brugie...where was this one planted??(Kyle grabs a spade and a box)....over where???? LOL Very nice..

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Kell, same mama i believe. mine does seem to be darker pink than brugie's think it might be the light or something.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

They just don't get any better!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

mine has Y'ed 4 or 5 times, and no buds yet. :(

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone, I do like this one a lot. It did get a little darker as the day wore on. The one I have from CC hasn't put on a bud yet.

Kyle, how could you miss it? Front row, tag and all. :-)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

To see a beautiful bloom like this makes all your hard work worthwhile.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Beautifully, I love this one.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Boy Snow, I don't know. This is a lot of work for a couple of blooms. :-) This morning there are four or five of them, but that will be all. No more buds visible. I have one in a pot too that CC sent me and no buds on it either. I do like the color and size of blooms on this plant though. Just want MORE< MORE< MORE.........

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The tendrils are shorter but the color puzzles me.

Woodville, TX(Zone 8a)

Very pretty!!!!!!! Jan

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

You're the first brugie, Happy Birthday+1, the first to puzzle Monika - I didn't think it could be done. I know, she'll have it figured out by now.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

LOL, Liz. You have to have both side by side to recoignize the difference. If Rosamond isnt fed well, she will look like PB. I eliminated PB a long time ago, because Rosamond had the larger flowers and of course, this big deflated calyx. The minus is her enormous growth. My old Rosamond Tree grew up to 5m each year.

FSH, TX

I like the calyx on this one. Its not constricting at all.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hey, I didn't ever think you would be stumped Monika. I love this flower no matter what it is, but would like to have a correct ID if it can be done.

By the way, I got brave today and hooked up my new computer set-up. This is going to take some getting used to.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Both are beautiful. I couldnt understand, why Mme Blin kept and named two almost look alike hybrids. But now, I have the same problem with my EP x Rothkirch hybrids and do understand Mme Blin better. Now I have to deceide which ones to keep or should I keep them all? Time must show because all will get a chance for two years and then, only the vigorous heavy bloomers will be kept and named.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I love the color of this one!!!! Any chance you will have cuttings in the fall?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Michele,

I'd be happy to send you a cutting of this one. You have been such a good trader and I've enjoyed everything you have send. Send me mail in two or three weeks so I don't forget.

Hello Monika!! The ones you've shown us are brilliant. Please! don't compost them.

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

hey, brugie, are those peach colored brug blossoms back behind the pink ones, or am i imagining things. it looks like a beautiful color i haven't seen.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

This is a beautiful color.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Actually Meiyu, those are blooms from Jam. Yellow. Small plant for me, but does bloom well. Just yellow, sorry!!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Brugie
If you have extra cutting for me one please. I love that one color so pretty.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

RR, I'm so sorry, but the cuttings I have rooted are spoken for. I'm saving the plant as it has seed pods on it and I won't be cutting on it anymore. Maybe next year.

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

bummer, brugie, an orange brug would be awesome...they exist, though, right? is there such a thing as a brug whose blossoms are multicolored? like i have a hibiscus that starts red from the center, fading to orange, then yellow on the edges...do brugs have varieties like that?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

meiyu, you ought to take a look through the plantdatabase, in the brug section. you will have to pick your jaw up.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Meiyu, I have a rooted cutting of versicolor orange.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Shirley,
Thanks a bunch!!! Give me a week or so and I will put together a list of things I have to trade. Since I only care to grow one of each thing, or each color of each thing, the rest has to go! LOL
Michele

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Michele, I'm going to have to just send you the brug for Postage, if you don't mind. I don't have much time to be planting anything else right now and my beds are going to be tropical next year. If that is okay with you. I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff this year. Haven't made the final decision on what goes, but some just has to.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL So you are going to get rid of everything and do all tropicals?? Let me know what you want to add and what you might be getting rid of. I may have some things you want to add. :)
