Turn of The Century Hibiscus

Milo, IA(Zone 5a)

My first bloom ever of her, bought her this spring. I have to move her, she is crowded by other plants, so she is shaded too much.

Nice bloom Debby. I have moved mine so many times, I don't think it cares anymore. Just keeps on blooming.

Debby, don't you love the deep cup shaped centers on these..kinda recessed. :-)

Brugie: I bought her at Lucas. I fell in love with the bloom from a picture from Dave's. I am a sucker for pinks, blues and tu-tones esp.

Eclipse: I just think she is fabulous. The blooms are bigger than what I thought they would be.

Gosh Debby, I didn't know they even had them down there. I've had mine for about three years and had to order it through one of the catalogs. Have never been able to get seed from it though. Is it a hybrid? Never have seen seed on Lord Baltimore either.

I have gotten seed from them, like pepper. Tried to start numerous times, thought they might have to be stratified(cold treatment, like winter.)

Brugie: There was only one, and it was so small and yellowed. Looked like it was about to croak. I took a chance with it and it is flourishing. They had a lovely variety of perennials. That was the only greenhouse I got to this year, other than Wal-Mart a few times. Thats the only drawback when you start alot from seeds. I love to go to all the different greenhouses.
