pod question

this is my first year with daturas and the pod have been green forever, are they to turn brown when ready? TIA

Tonny is the expert on Datura, but i will try to take the long shot based on common sense and experience of growing daturas.

they would take along while to be green cause the seeds are developing inside to maturity. once seeds maturity has commenses the pod will turn brown and crack an opening to show the seeds.

in order to avoid the seed from dispersing all over the ground. i normally cut off a piece of hosiery the total size of the pod and tie along the bottom of the pod.

be patient all these process takes a while. HTH.
