good old reliable and beautiful 'Frosty Pink' .

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

My second brug many moons ago. Can always be counting on this one to bring much beauty.
I love the way she 'changes'. 'Frosty' blooms even through winter for me US6 in my glasshouse.

Boy, my Frosty doesn't look anything like this one. I love the color. Mine seem to be a more pale pink around the edges. This is just beautiful.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

My frosty pink..the original form is like Brugies..paler pink most of the time around the edges.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You are right, just beautiful!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

My Frostys (all of them) are much paler than this. No wonder you love it.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

It starts out this way to pale at the finish. Anyone know why?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Mine start out pale, after they do their greeny/yellow thing and stay pale.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

is this possibly Isabella instead of FP?

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Hmmmm. Not unless it was here US before Don brought it here. ????
I am going to post a photo of all its flower changes to see if anyone knows.
Maybe it has not been Frosty I've had.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

It looks alot like my pink ....Old whats its name?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

is this Golfito that Don brought in?

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

I got this as Frosty several years back. I have another Frosty, but I have like this one better for it's colour.
I have Don's Golfito, but has not bloomed yet. Soon. But I had this Frosty before Don brought Golfito. ???
So now I am quite puzzled. ??? This 'Frosty' even throws in a white bloom before pink occasionally, too.
Checking my pix ..

Just going on last years ID, this is my Isabella on the second day. http://davesgarden.com/brugcontest/viewentry.php?imageid=16
Since everyone was saying their FP was lighter, I just wondered if this is Isabella. me know nothing!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think I could take a picture of a bloom from each of Insignis Pink, Isabella, and Frosty Pink blooms that I have and it would be hard to tell which is which. I'm totally confused about them all. My Golfito hasn't even put on a bud yet, but I'm hoping to see it before fall. Don said he is 99% sure that Golfito and Isabella are NOT the same plant. Time will tell.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

I am taking more pix and making a composite of all the flower phases for this 'Frosty'.
I did compare foliage this morning. This brug has ruffled leaf edges ..Golfito has smooth.

I have another Frosty that blooms lighter, insignis pink, Isabella, and Golfito and this Frosty.
If I can get them all to bloom at once, I will compare.
Geez ..never figured I would get to questioning this brug's ID I have had a long time ..but I am!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

well, whatever it is, it's very pretty!! I'm lost on pinks, I give:)

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

And it seems like it was just about this time last summer when the big Frosty debate started.

Remember.....color depends on soil and weather conditions. I have a Frosty that is one color in a container and a cutting off that same plant is lighter in the ground.

Glory, you are right. Thanks for that reminder. My brugs usually bloom through winter under glass.
Light and temps make a difference, too.
By the way ..still waiting out Creamsickle.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Whatever you decide this one is, it is sure a beautiful color.

Alice,
No rush...on Creamsickle..I know you won't forget me. ;0)
