Pete . . you have a very pretty brug bed. I like all the colors that you put in it.
Just look at all those blooms! I can smell it up here ~~
Very pretty!
Pete, it's beautiful!!! good job
That looks great, Pete. Love the way you have different colors and I like the border, too. Your plants looks so healthy. Did you say you put it in last year?
Beautiful Pete.
Nice bed of brugs Pete. Are you going to keep adding to it or do you have more someplace else. I know you have to have more of them hiding. More Pictures!!
Pete,

OK, all you brug lovers please tell me this! I live in Zone 6b-7 and I have some brugs that I am hoping will soon bloom. I have no place to put them in the winter. Should I cut them down after frost hits them and mulch them? Will they come back up next spring?
Great job Pete.
So nice...is that an EP in the back?
Gorgeous!
Thanks guys .... Kell thats vesersi peach in the back the yellow is a charles G and the white is ucon treasure there is a frost pink in there that hasn't bloomed yet and two of CC crosses that havn't bloomed as well this is it for this side of the bed to the left of this there are hibicus and a few more brugs but nothing was in bloom on that side'
Woodspirit... thats what i Would do I would take cuttings and put them on a window seal just incase but cover them well with mulch and pine straw or hay you may get lucky if you have a mild winter
WTG Pete......nice looking plants.
thanks irish;
Our winters have been getting milder and milder here. We used to get frost in September but the last 2 years we have not had frost until November. I will take the cuttings, too. I was surprised when tiG sent me cuttings last fall, that they took root. Most plants will not root during the fall and winter even when they're inside a heated space. How do they know it's winter outside? LOL
Those are simply beautiful. What I wouldn't give to have them in my yard !!!
Great job Pete.Does that chicken lay eggs?
Nice looking bed. Your brugs look very happy.
Since today is irish's birthday I decided to bump this one up.
:-)

I see that you are in zone 7a. I'm in 8a and I'm thinking I'm right in the area where is could go either way. Mine was out the last two years without problem, heavily mulched, but we didn't have terribly cold winters. If I was you, I'd try one inside and out out side just to see what would happen
Irish, I love your brug bed and the colors you have mixed.

I am sooooo jealous! What a beautiful bed! Are those possibly daylilies in front? I'd like to start a brug bed as well, though I don't have much shade here west of Houston, and the summers are brutal. What exposure does your bed get?
Ginger ("newbie")
Ginger...you asked the question I was going to ask! Are those daylilies up front!?
Irish, lovely brug bed ! How close/far can you plant brugs? How old are your brugs? Just wondering when I can expect to see them that height?!
Yes they are daylillies I had to move some because the brug got so big there blocking the sun I will post a new pic tomarrow wait until you see what happens in a couple of years
A gorgeous bed you got there.
Lovely bed!
I love your bed :)
Boy, irish, you and Florida surely do grow some huge plants! Very nice...SherryLike
