The skirt is down low, the tendrils are out, but doesn't look like it's going to drop after all. Pollinated with Tonny's 'not L'amour' this morning. The pollen wasn't fluffy after being in the fridge, but I did get a little:)

Me too tiG. Arlene, the Butterfly you sent me is dropping down from the calyx now. Can't wait to see the blooms. Have 5 buds that are large on Pink Beauty and one of them is now dropping down. This next week or so is going to be fun. The mites are doing a number on things too, but this morning I started putting systemic down. What a job. Hope you are blooming pretty at your house. Would love to see some long distance shots of your yard. Yours too tiG. Just saw the banana picture. Did you post some I missed?

no, everything else is a work in progress:) just did a new big tropical bed in the front yard, but it looks like springtime instead of midsummer. I think it will fill in before fall though, I used a lot of coleus as underplantings. If it looks good then, I'll take another picture:)

You already did a bed from your book, tiG? must have been quite inspiring! But in 7b tiG, will you have to dig and bring in most of your tropicals? Do you have a GH?

Miss Brugie, what systemic did you use?

have a huge plant room. No, this bed came from plants we already had, and the best plan I could do without guidance. They were all in pots and really needed to go in the ground. DH and I did it last weekend, I have to jump on it when he says 'let's dig' :) We'll have to bring in 90% of the bed, but that's fine, I want to do it smarter next year, I will leave the elephant ears and brugs.

Tig . . I sure hope it takes!!

Brugie . . next week sounds exciting. Can't wait to see pictures of your blooms.
