pollinating question

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I have a double white that is opening and I think the second skirt is going to come down. I want to cross it with some stored pollen in the morning. do I let the pollen come to room temp?

nuke it for 15 seconds.......just kidding!!!

LOL!! actually, I'd do it tonight but I want to see if the flower comes down. It looks very different from the stuffed double white I had, but remember, I didn't see that one the first night. There are two flowers, but I want a great picture and I want to enjoy them without tearing up these first two, that's why I'm waiting.

As fluffy as pollen is, I'd think that by the time you get ready to do your work, it would be warm already. Can't hurt to wait a few more minutes though. It isn't going to go bad in a short time, I'd think. Of course, I get dangerous when I think. So don't pay any attention to my jibber. :-)

so I should keep it in the fridge tonight?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

tiG, I took some out of the refrigerator a few weeks ago and pollinated with it right away.I can see a small pod forming so it took. I think Brugie's right. It warms up quickly.
