Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

JT, she's my favorite too. almost exactly the color of butterfly but larger, very fast grower. great tendrils. i have a couple of pods on mine and i don't care who the dad is!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I wouldn't either arlene, what a mom!!! and just think, the daddy is more than likely Butterfly, cause it's right there!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

yes ma'am, ms tig, i have sat and watched the hummers flit in between. the 2 for sure pods are right next to BF. do you think they will be white babies? i wonder!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I wouldn't think so with those two colors. Good thing you have plenty of room!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

what is Pink Beauty's line, does anyone know?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

tiG I think there is Rothkirch in its background and some pink aurea of some kind..monika would know..

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm just waiting on bloom too. Have a few buds about 3 inches long. Arlene and JT, do you have yours in full sun or what? I just hope it isn't 100 degrees in the shade when this one opens and hope Butterfly is open at the same time, both with good pollen. Am also waiting on Tropical Sunset to open it's first bud. Would like to get crazy with pollen on it too and with it's pollen. Gee, wonder what other kind of trouble I can get into.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Wow! What a beauty.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Very nice..hope mine is as pink!! :-)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

It is so nice to be pink!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gee Kell, with your long growing season, you might even get bloom on yours this year. Hoorah!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

If that is true Miss Brugie, I will be kissing your feet!!!!
XX OO

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Just don't fuss over it. Believe me, you would want to kiss my feet. They are always dirty and dusty from being in the garden. :-)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL............but I would do alot for the ultimate pink!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

But do not worry folks, I would have no takers!!! LOL

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Pink Beauty belongs to Mmes Blins famous R - family:
Rothkirch x B. x candida Ocre.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Your 'Pink Beauty' is lovely. Adding this one to my wish list (o:
Thanks for posting your great photo!

(Zone 6a)

Adding Pink Beauty to my wish list also:) It is gorgeous!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

mee too - (adding to my wish list) it is lovely...love the pink!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Pebble, i sent you pink beauty, it didn't root?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

tiG, Butterfly is out of the same cross. Flaminia, Esperanza, Cinderella belong to it too.

If the flower is so huge, it could be Rosamond. Pink Beauty has smaller flowers.

JT . . you have a real beauty there. Love that shade of pink!! How are your temps where you are and do you have her in full sun or part sun?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Monika, i am out the door with my tape measure. my pink beauty is almost exactly the same color as BF, is that right?
Brugie, forgot to tell you my butterfly and pink beauty are next to each other, about 10 hours of sun a day, has been cloudy and rainy a lot lately. amended soil and watersorb, but i truly have only sand to work with. JT, i am curious with BrugNanny, is yours full sun? the blooms last a couple of days, expect longer in the fall.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

this will make a wonderful cross!!!!!!!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Fantastic, love those pinks!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

arlene, Rosamond flowers reach a length between 34 - 37cm with huge calyxes. Pink Beauty flower 30 - 32cm. Rosamond has a strong growth, Pink Beauty not.
After I finish feeding and watering my plants, I will post a picture.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Arlene, with this last batch? It has rooted, I didnt realise It was a pink beauty..... I will be potting it up this weekend....thanks again :)

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Seems we might have Rosamond instead of PB.No matter.I wouldn't trade it for anything else on the yard.
Mine is growing in full sun.No shade at all.Temps close to 100F for the past couple of weeks. This plant has very strong growth, huge leaves, light fragrance.Calyx is about
1 1/2 inches diameter and the corolla face is 8-10 inches across. It is near our driveway entrance and literally stops traffic.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

JT . . thanks for the information. I am so glad to hear that such a beautiful brug takes the heat so well. Your temps are like mine - 100 degrees for the past couple of weeks also. No doubt it stops traffic. Just beautiful!!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Same here, JT, mine gets all day sun. i took it out of the box and put it in the ground and it never even wilted. don't you think it's like an oversized butterfly? glad to hear i'm not alone, this is one great brug....

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Wow it's Cerise!! I think I need a start of this one!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Frannie, I'm going to send two of your plants next week. Hope that will be okay, if not let me know. I can hold them until the weather cools if you want me too.
