unusual baby

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

this seedling is about 2 months old, and it's already made a Y. The leaves aren't looking like they will change, they are the size and shape of Culebra. I know monika said that she'd seen this in seedlings before, what are the chances of this baby growing up? Will the leaves stay the same?

I don't have an answer tig but that is strange. Hope it will grow for you.

TiG,

Do you know what cross it is? Must have some super genes in it. Lets hope it is a Y and that the seedling continues to do well.

it's Perlmutt x EP.

Tig, Two of my Perlmutt x EP look just like that when they are little. The larger one ( 1.5 feet tall) has y'd and is doing great. Just take care of it and it should do fine. Interesting cross for sure. Can't wait to see it bloom.

do they still have different leaves? I have another that doesn't look like this at all.

One small one still have these different looking leaves but the larger one has more rounded fuzzy leaves, pale green.

My seeds didn't germinate, so I'll watch your baby grow up. Glad that some of you were able to get them to grow. Looks to be an interesting growth habit at this point.
