Last day of marionberry harvest tomorrow.

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

Yippee!! It is a good feeling to know that the marions are about done. We are probably 10 days to two weeks before we harvest the later blackberry. Now there will be time to get a few other things done, maybe even sneak away to camp a night or two in the Cascades. Harvest is always a very early morning rise and so just regular sleep hours put us back into a more normal routine. Hubby said his brother will help him get his truck running. There is always plenty of berry work to do even if it isn't picking. I was called for jury duty of all things next week. Here the county only calls you in for one trial and there is no guarantee you will even get seated as a juror. It is about a 20 mile commute into Salem. I hope I don't even have to go. It has cooled down here so much better. Joann
