This is our very first...ever...started from seed. It said, 18-24 inches tall...it is well over 4 feet. Smells great at night...Doing the happy dance..well worth the wait.
Still waiting on my Brugs.....most have "Y"d but nothing yet...Diana

My brugs have not bloomed yet, either. It has been too hot/dry, buds fell off. Most are 3 yrs. old, so they should be blooming. Getting impatient, seeing everyones' blooms.
D. Very pretty datura. I'm so excited that you have buds on your brugs now too and can't wait to hear from you after they bloom and you can stick your nose in a bloom for that night time fragrance. Once you have some blooming you will see that just being near them will bowl you over. I always try to have one on our deck so when sitting out there at night I can smell them.
No Shirley, no buds on the brugs yet...just this Datura...this morning after I took this picture...(It had been watered this morning.)...the flower sunk...right in front of my eyes.....my heart fell....a one day bloom??? We hurried and moved it out of the sun......1 hr later, it is back upright.....Is this normal.?????? I think I read on another thread that datura can be overwatered. Yes, they are a one day bloom, generally opening in the evening and dying about noon or earlier the next day. I mis-read your email. Thought you had buds on the brugs. Well, you will have. You just had too much cold weather this spring to get a jump start.
