Okay, so I'm pea brained.

I went back through my file, and that is a job in itself for someone who can't remember anything, and found this picture of the hibiscus I gave Kyle. Seems I'm going to be in trouble if I ever forget where I put my glasses or my teeth!! :-) :-) I'd say they are the same, but as he says different conditions affect the bloom outcome.

I love it! Gorgeous colors with fluted edges. It's a heart breaker :~)

Thanks Shirley, it is a huge flower. Probably a good salad plate size. I'm sure Kyle will do a better job with his than I will with mine. By the way, my name is Shirley also. Nice to meet you.

Thanks Busybee.

tiG, do you have any hibiscus?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I have a double peach that I got from Hibiscus, but that's the only tropical. it's got one bud:( not sure if I'm doing something wrong, otherwise it looks good.
guess I'm going to have to beg my friends to start me some cuttings:) and learn how to take proper care of them:)

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

You'd better get started on that plant room!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

you ain't kidding!!!! but need an extra four hours a day. I could give up DG, but nah...I like pressure, I'll get it done:)

When I trim back this fall, I can try to start some or just mail them to you for you to mess with. I don't have a lot, but what I have came from Kyle and one double peach from Gloria in Ohio. Probably the same one you have. I may be wrong, and maybe Kyle can jump in here, but it seems like he said not to use bloom booster on hibiscus. You have to remember, I have this memory problem. :-) I may be using too much fertilizer on mine. I use the 20-20-20. Might just go scratch in some of the Osmocote and not fertilize otherwise.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

no, haven't used bloom buster, maybe I didnt' feed them enough?? I have a bit of Osmocote left, I'll try a bit of that. we just put it in the ground for the rest of the summer. I never studied on what to do with them, but should have.
thanks for the cuttings, I'd love to try!

Remind me the middle of Sept. Have to remember the plumeria too. Geez, I've got to get a secretary.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'll put it in the tradetracker (now to remember to check it then:)

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

brugie..phosphorus is toxic to hibiscus..need a ratio like 12-4-18 or similar..very little phosphorus.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Lovely.

Kyle, I knew you told me something about bloom booster, so I was right for a change. Whew!!
