Not really black..but a dark purple form..large flowers with white on the reverse side of petals. :-)

Evert you and me both..when I bought it I thought oh boy real dark purple..nope..of course the sun is relentless here this summer so many colors fade quickly. :-)
It is still very pretty. Dark purple or not. Too bad hibiscus don't have a great smell to go with the beauty.
I totaly agree about the smell, but the flowers are so outstanding it makes up for no scent. They are one of my favorite flowers.
