Is it possible??

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I received a plant from Hodnik that I ordered just because it sounded interesting. Now I'm wondering if the cross was even possible. Culebra x Jamaican Yellow. The leaves aren't culebra-ish. Having never had anything crossed to culebra, is this normal? Do the leaves change that much?

I don`t know and I think Eric and Arlene are the right ones to answer your question, so I won`t even attempt to do that. Also I hope soon to find this out. I have several buds on culebra and the plant seem to be an excellent grower here in Danish climate. I like to make culebra x any Brug blooming and the chances for pollination appear to be fine right now, as most of the Brugs has buds. culebra crosses is an old dream, that I had for long now. I like to cross it to quinde most, but its too much to hope for, that quinde should bloom this year. Its in the GH and I hope it will form multiple stems and grow as wide a trunk as Ida.
